Welcome to the web site of the Rutland Folk Dance Club (RFDC).
The club has been in existence for 50 years and meets from 8.00 to 10.00pm each Friday evening between September and June. We welcome new members and visitors to the area who would like to join us for a sociable and fun evening. There is no need to come with a partner – singles are welcomed.
Those intending to visit the club are advised to check the NEWS and PROGRAMME pages of this web site for further information about our activities. We have a varied programme that embraces both traditional and modern country dances, predominantly in the English and American styles with occasional excursions into dances of other nationalities. We dance to both recorded and live music. All dances are walked through and called, and cater for dancers of all abilities from new to experienced. Several club members are experienced callers and we regularly invite visiting callers and bands from other clubs.
